About 2D Platformer Coin
2D Platformer Coin is a side-view platformer built around one clear target: eight coins. The hero, known only as the dude, has to reach each coin by getting through a series of tests, and the round is only won once all eight have been collected. The challenges ask for nimble movement and a bit of thought about the route.
The movement set has one unusual trick. Alongside walking left and right with A and D, jumping with W and walking down with S, holding Space during a jump makes the character drift gently back to the ground, as if gravity had been switched off. That slow descent is what makes longer gaps and careful landings possible, and it gives the obstacles their puzzle-like edge, including routes that stay hidden until you look for them. The screen is landscape.

How to play 2D Platformer Coin
Objective
Guide the dude through each round's tests and collect all 8 coins to win the round.
Controls
Desktop
- W: jump up
- A / D: walk left / walk right
- S: walk down
- Hold Space bar during a jump: descend slowly, as if gravity were off
Getting started
- Keep the W, A, S and D keys under one hand and the Space bar under the other.
- Walk with A and D toward the nearest coin and jump with W to reach higher ground.
- When a gap looks too long, jump and then hold Space so the character drifts slowly down.
- Work through each test that stands between you and the coins, keeping track of how many you have.
- Collect the eighth coin to win and pass the round.
Tips
- Holding Space after a jump slows the fall dramatically, so use it to stretch across wide gaps or to settle onto a narrow landing spot.
- A round only counts as won when all 8 coins are collected, so note which ones are still missing before you tackle the hardest test.
- Remember the S key: it walks the character downward, an option that is easy to forget when most movement is left, right and up.
