About Solitaire Tripeaks
Solitaire Tripeaks is a classic TriPeaks card game with a Deep Sea theme, packaged as a set of brain-training solitaire puzzles. The cards laid out on the table, known as the tableau, are what you need to clear, and you do it one card at a time by building on the current card from the deck.
The rule is short: any card whose rank sits directly above or below the deck card can be removed. Each card you take becomes the new card to build on, so a good stretch lets you chain several selections in a row, stepping up and down the ranks, before you need to turn to the deck again. The skill lies in spotting those chains and choosing which card to take when more than one fits. Different puzzles vary the challenge, and the overall pace is relaxed rather than rushed, with no pressure beyond clearing the table.

How to play Solitaire Tripeaks
Objective
Empty the tableau card by card, taking only cards that sit a single rank above or below the deck card in play.
Getting started
- Look at the current card from the deck and note its rank before checking the table.
- Find a card in the tableau that is exactly one rank above or below it, and select it to remove it.
- Treat the card you just removed as the new target, and look for another card one rank up or down from that.
- Keep chaining selections for as long as a fitting card is available on the table.
- When nothing on the table fits, turn to the deck for a new card and continue until the tableau is clear.
Tips
- When two table cards fit the current card, pick the one that keeps a longer chain going afterwards rather than the first one you notice.
- Look several moves ahead before selecting; the longer the chain you build from one deck card, the fewer deck cards you have to use.
- Both directions count, so a 7 can be followed by a 6 or an 8; a chain can climb and fall to reach awkward cards.
